In 1906 an entire family was sleeping inside the room but unfortunately, they were dead. The housekeeper found the bodies and during investigations handprints were found on the walls. It was then the room was sealed and plastered over officially.

It is said to be a murder-suicide in room 873. It was a man who killed his wife and daughter, and then suicide.

But the guests who were staying in the hotel were experiencing a strange presence walking around the hallways and the ones who stayed in the room have been awoken by screaming in the middle of the night. They have seen blood stains on the walls which reappear after the cleaning staff removes them.

A few guests have claimed to have seen a young child walking the halls, lost and alone.  Due to such events, when guests came, the hotel staff had to pretend that there was no such room that existed. The door was removed and they covered the opening with drywall, and flush in order to match the rest of the hallway.

Mausoleum of the First Emperor Qin Shi Huang

Under a hill in central China, one of the Emperor’s tombs is buried deep. He is surrounded by an underground moat of poisonous mercury and lies there undisturbed for more than two millennia.

It is believed that the tomb holds the secrets of China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang.  He died on September 10, 210 B.C., after conquering six warring states in order to create the first unified nation of China.

There are so many historical mysteries and it is believed that they might be buried inside that tomb. The way modern people think about what is inside this mausoleum will depend on both the Chinese government, as well as science.

Nobody has ever been there and one of the reasons is that it is because of respect for elders. Another is that there is still no proper technology and facility to go and excavate it.

This door was actually found in 1974 when some farmers were digging a well near the old Chinese capital of Xianyang. While digging they discovered a strange figure like a terracotta soldier. They informed about their findings and so the excavation project started. It actually lasted for more than 4 decades and revealed several thousand soldiers who were protecting the mausoleum of the Emperor.

So far, only 2000 soldiers have been excavated, but it is estimated that there might be around 8000 soldiers. High techniques were used like remote sensing, ground-penetrating radar, and core sampling and finally, the scientists have found the shocking thing.

The Emperor’s tomb is much larger than it was expected which is almost 38 square miles. But what lies inside the tomb is a mystery and will remain so.

The Han Dynasty historian Sima Qian has written in his history records, and he believes that the mausoleum contains palaces and towers along with treasures.

Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal has been seen as a wonderful creation, but in the list of some doors that should never be opened lies the name of the Taj Mahal. There is an entrance we use to go to the Taj Mahal. But the shocking thing is that it is not the main door.

It was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, who died just after giving birth to their 14th child. This is a story popularly known in the world and the Taj Mahal is seen as a symbol of love. The architecture used to make it is extraordinary and so it is one of the seven wonders of the world.

Taj Mahal secret door

But the main door should never be opened and remains to be a mysterious door. In the basement of the Taj Mahal, there are many rooms sealed. And so no one is allowed to enter. Many theories have been spread about the reason behind the mysterious door.

But there is one theory that was most widely accepted as it makes logical sense as a scientific one.

Marbles are used to make the sealed chambers and they can transform into calcium carbonate if they get exposed to carbon dioxide. If they do, in reaction, the marble will deteriorate and crumble down. If too much carbon dioxide gets into the basement, the four towers that surround the Taj Mahal may collapse.

And so the chambers are sealed and kept out of the public eye.

While some believe another theory is that Mumtaz Mahal is buried there in one of those rooms. The ones who believe in this theory, view that the dead body of Mumtaz Mahal is present there in the same condition in which she was when she died.

Great Sphinx of Giza

When it comes to archaeological sites as well as mystery spots, the famous place would be Egypt. And in Egypt Giza is famous for its pyramids as it is the largest pyramid in the world.

According to popular belief, the Great Sphinx of Giza is estimated to have been built around 2500 BCE by Pharaoh Khafra. Since Giza was popular with the rulers during the early dynasty period of Egypt, it might have been chosen as the appropriate site for the building of the Sphinx.

King Khufu, ascended the throne in 2589 BCE, was good at working stones, and chose Giza to expose his work by building the Great Pyramid.

The Giza chamber remains unopened

Apart from being the largest, it is also famous for having mysteries around it. The pyramid of Giza is famous for cursing those who disturb. Somewhere beneath the sands lies a hall of records. And it is believed by archaeologists that there are caverns beneath the Sphinx.

It took three years to complete with 100 workers. The mystery of the Sphinx is that there are two rectangular Chambers at the depth of 25 Ft. These chambers were discovered to be located under the Sphinx’s paws. It is found that there are two entrances to these chambers but they are sealed.

Government officials have restricted further research and hence what lies behind the doors remains a mystery. However, some theories believe that the door to the chamber will lead us to the hall of records that contains document scrolls in which the Egyptians had managed to record the history of the missing continent of Atlantis.

The Egyptian government has so far not allowed any additional excavation or research into the caverns. And many people support the government for not permitting to open the door.

There are so many theories behind the door of Giza, and some believe that there might be aliens or something supernatural that should not be disturbed. So it is better not to open the door to this mystery spot.
