This dish can be accompanied by veggies, rice, Kimchi, pajeori, and various others. The cooks might serve banchan and then replenish the food throughout the meal for the guest to enjoy.

There is a sauce called ssamjang which is a soya bean paste and Red Pepper paste.  It features umami flavor and complementary ingredients and makes sure that it doesn’t overpower the rest of the flavors. 

Doenjang jjigae is a fermented bean paste stew that arrives at the end of the meal which is a brothy stew with protein and vegetables and you can enjoy it with rice and kimchi. You can try traditional beverages like soju a  popular Korean wine or other light drinks.

Slice the meat thinly. And then take a bowl and mix all the marinade ingredients well. Add meat, onion, and scallions in it and mix them well. Take a skillet and grill it over charcoal or pan-fry over medium-high heat until it gets slightly caramelized. (Preheat and oil it lightly with sesame oil before adding the meat, and adjust the heat as necessary)

Dak Bulgogi (Chicken Bulgogi)

This is a sweet and savory dish and contains no red meat. It is perfect for outdoor grilling. You need to cut the chicken into large pieces and marinate for a longer time to get the best taste.

Rinse the chicken pieces and trim off the excess fat. Cut the chicken pieces into small sizes. 

If you plan for outdoor grilling, cut them into large pieces and marinate them for a longer time.

Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl until the sugar dissolves. Coat the pieces with the marinade and marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Take the skillet and reheat over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces reserving the marinade. Cook until it gets slightly caramelized about 2 minutes on each side. 

When using sugar and honey in the marinade it will burn easily so be careful and add the reserved marinade when the pan gets dry. Slightly reduce the heat to avoid burning.
