Keep it at distance from other products or foods that might absorb its odors. Never refrigerate whole heads of garlic as they won’t last long.
To peel off garlic easily, first use the palm of your hand to push down the garlic bulb and separate the gloves from the root. For more force, you can use two hands. Then place the unpeeled garlic cloves in a large bowl with a lid. Put the plate upside down on top of the bowl and then hold the two together tightly and shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds.
Now you’re ready to take and look at the peeled garlic. The skin should be gone or hanging loosely if not shake it more. Finally, discard the garlic peel and remove anything that might still be attached. It should come off very easily.
How to peel hard-boiled eggs?
