Cinnamon is a common addition to Chilli and to make it more aromatic you can use a small number of cloves,  sweet spices, and allspice.  Fish sauce enhances the umami savor of chili and is even good for adding some meat depth to veggie chilis.  Other than that,  cocoa powder or unsweetened baking chocolate is a secret ingredient that can add spicy,  acidic, and umami flavors to chili.  You can even try dark chocolate that contains sugar for a touch of sweetness.

How to make 

Take a large soup pot and add olive oil.  Place it over medium-high heat for 2 minutes.  Add onions and stir occasionally cooking it for 5 minutes.  Add the ground beef to the pot and break it with a wooden spoon.  Cook it for 6 to7  minutes, stirring occasionally, and wait until the beef is brown.  Add cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, sugar, tomato paste, salt, pepper,  and if you need cayenne, and mix it well.

Stir well and add diced tomatoes, broth,  tomato sauce, and drained beans.  Bring the liquid to a low boil by reducing the heat to gently simmer the chili. Stir it occasionally for 20 to 25 minutes.  Remove the pot from the heat and let the chili rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

How to make

Take a large pot and heat the olive oil. Add onion, season the bay leaves, oregano, salt, and cumin. Stir it until the onion is tender and mix in the green bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, celery, and green chile peppers. When vegetables are heated, mix in the vegetarian burger crumbles. Reduce to low heat, cover pot, and sim for 5 minutes. 

Mix the tomatoes into a pot and season chili with chili powder and pepper. Stir the kidney beans, Garbanzo beans, and black beans. Bring it to boil and reduce to low heat and sim for 45 minutes. Stir in the corn and continue cooking for 5 minutes before serving. 

What are the common mistakes when cooking chili?


There are some errors that can happen and you need to do the right remedy.
