And we are happy in sharing about a versatile vegetable that provides more benefits and keeps you away from many health problems. Cauliflower, the powerhouse of vegetables and fruits, creates the impression of living with good health.

It is a vegetable that is composed of tightly packed flower buds, scientifically known as Brassica Oleracea variety Botrytis.  This is a plant that reaches about 0.5metres (1.5 feet) in height.  It is a cruciferous vegetable that contains high fiber, Vitamin C, and K. other than that, it consists of choline and sulforaphane.

Cauliflower is a versatile plant and has impressive nutrients which provide a variety of benefits. This provides phytonutrients and antioxidants, which are good to prevent cancer and protects the cells from inflammation. It reduces the risk of breast and reproduction cancer. Also, it helps in reducing the possibility in occurring of lung cancers by slowing down the growth of cells that causes cancer.

It is high in fiber and contains a lot of water, which helps in enhancing weight loss, digestion tract and prevents constipation issues. Because fiber helps in improving healthy bacteria and reduces infections and toxins. And as it contains a very less amount of calories, where 100g of cauliflower consists of 25 calories, it helps in lowering the weight and prevents obesity.

Moreover, it contains choline which is an important nutrient. In a cup of cauliflower, 11% of choline is provided. It helps in maintaining cell membranes and supports metabolism. Choline is essential for developing the brain by enhancing memory power and also prevents cholesterol.

Other than benefits it also consists of risks. Cauliflower is a good and healthy food unless you consume it in a moderate amount.  Because consuming excessively main cause major problems and unwanted effects.  It causes discomfort and a stuffed feel in the stomach and creates flatulence. For some it could be allergic, because the proteins consisted, will cause reactions of certain allergies.  People consuming blood-thinning medication such as warfarin and enoxaparin should not consume cauliflower. It is also found that high intake will cause thyroid, but it varies when used with Iodine.

Cauliflower can be consumed in many ways, and fresh cauliflower consists of no dark spots and maintains bright green color leaves. The fresh ones will include 30% of protein more than any other when compared.  To avoid digestive issues, cooked cauliflower is better with moderate amounts. And make sure not to boil it in water, which would reduce the antioxidant.

Cauliflower can be consumed by making popcorn, Pizza crust, and fries.

Take the florets of the cauliflower. Clean them and cut the cleaned florets into individual pieces in moderate sizes. Squeeze the lime and take to juice while adding it to the florets. Add 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil, one teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and turmeric along with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and mix them well. Use nonstick cookware and spread the mixed cauliflower.  Put it in the oven at 475 degrees and bake it for 20 to 30 minutes.

Cut off the cauliflower remove the small florets.  Grind them and put them into a saucepan with some water. Cook it for 10 minutes with medium heat.  Drain the cooked florets and transfer them to a will flour sack towel and squeeze the liquid well until it is thoroughly drained. 

Take a bowl, and put the drained florets, and add an egg along with 1/2 teaspoon of oregano, dried parsley, sea salt, and garlic powder. Add half a cup of queso Manchego and mix it well. Put them into parchment paper and make it flat as a circle. 

Bake it at 210 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, and after it is baked, take it out and spread the tomato sauce and mozzarella, and bake it again in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Fried cauliflower

Take a cauliflower, break it into small florets.  Boil water with light salt in a pan and place the cauliflower into the pan and cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Remove and drain the water and cool it. Take a separate bowl add one egg and 2 teaspoons of milk and whisk it well. Heat oil in a deep fryer at 365 degrees. Dip the cauliflower into the egg mixture and roll it in the cracker crumbs and fry it in the hot oil until golden brown
