These are arising in popularity as pets.  They move slowly and behave calmly living up to 30 years. This is suitable for the most seasoned exotic pet owner who can handle the sloth for many years by spending more time. They are quiet and need a special diet because they take a long time to digest and love climbing trees. This pet sleeps for 20 hours a day.

Box turtle is a challenging pet and seems to hold a long-term commitment.  This is not suitable for families consisting of young children or new owners because they are considered to have a complex requirement for care. They do not prefer to be handled by people.   But once they get comfortable with the environment they recognize their owners.

They are affectionate pets but need high maintenance which requires a routine scheduled and more time with owners. They have a frequent bond with the family members but are intolerant of strangers. They are bear-like mammals who enjoy burrowing and feeding on vegetation.  They are calm and friendly and love cuddling and spending time playing around.  They have heavy weights and need a lot of space.  It is hard to control and train wombats and they can become aggressive and even unpredictable which can be risky and unsafe.
