The colors slightly vary depending on the place it is found wherein Indo-Pacific regions the fish would be more orangey-red in color and in Hawaii, the fish would be in deep vibrant red color. When they are born they will be females and while they become mature the larger dominant fish will become males. 

They don’t need a huge tank and they live with small groups of 3 to 7 the males will likely fight so keep them as mated pairs and if you keep a group have one male. 

It is considered one of the best choices for aquariums as it will adapt well to captivity. Provide them with plenty of shelter for hiding along with ample algae for nibbling. 

Clown Killifish

These are tiny beautiful fish to own as pets and these are 1.2 inches to 1.4 inches in size and need only a 10-gallon tank. They have brown and yellow stripes with tails that look like ornate fans and wonderful symmetry of red, blue, and orange on their famous tail fins. They have a lifespan of 3 to 5 years. 

They are very social fishes and are known to be extremely curious. When you walk passing the tank they’ll swim close to the glass to see what is going on. 

They are not too difficult to take care of and their small sizes will make an excellent choice for small tanks. They can live with a small peaceful fish and prefers live fish food

You need to provide a larger tank which is a minimum of 75 gallons with plenty of hiding places to reduce their aggressiveness. If the tank is too small it can become territorial, so keep them with large tank mates. 

Discus fish

These fishes have majestic beauty with regal colors and are referred to as the King of the Aquarium. Most of the Discus that are sold today are captive-bred and are much easier to keep. But they don’t suit the beginners. 

They are bred in many different color morphs and patterns and create incredibly vibrant fish. They are considered to be unique fishes as they look flat and swim upright. 

They need a great deal of care because of their carnivorous behavior and so need to eat rich foods. They grow quite large and need an aquarium of 75 gallons or larger than that. It is better if the aquariums are tall for their body shape. 

Betta fish

This is known as the Siamese fighting fish and the most popular aquarium fish. These fishes have bright colors with unique and beautiful tails. Betta fish is bred to fight and has an aggressive nature.
